Procedure:
Rejuvenates face and neck through the fatty tissue and muscle remodeling and removal of skin excess. It does not modify the frontal area (forehead).
Duration:
4 to 6 hours.
Anesthesia:
local with sedation, general in some cases. Hospital admission: 1 day on average, sometimes discharge on the same day.
Side effects:
temporary pain and swelling, numbing or even skin hypersensitivity, feeling of “stretched” face, dry skin.
Risks:
sensitivity or muscles control nerve injury (generally temporary, may be permanent). Hematoma (+ for men). Infection (rare). Improper or abnormal scarring, asymmetry, change on the hairline.
Recovery:
return to work in 2 weeks.
Physical activities (sports):
3 weeks.
Sun exposure:
3 to 6 months.
Results:
from 3rd week; lasting 7 to 10 years on average.
